Health & Wellness Expo

Sunday, December 28, 2025 10:00 Central SDA Church Complex
The "New Start" Community Health & Wellness Expo is designed to bridge the gap between our church and the local community through the "Right Arm of the Gospel"—health evangelism. This event aims to meet people's immediate physical needs while opening doors to spiritual conversations in a non-threatening, supportive environment.

Theme: Wholeness in Christ: Body, Mind, and Spirit

Key Features & Stations:

The NEWSTART Stations: Attendees will walk through eight interactive stations based on the acronym NEWSTART (Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest, Trust in Divine Power). Each station will provide educational pamphlets and a small interactive challenge.

Free Health Screenings: Staffed by volunteer Adventist health professionals (nurses/doctors), we will offer:

Blood Pressure checks

Blood Glucose screenings

Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation

"Health Age" surveys

"Taste & See" Cooking School: Live demonstrations of simple, budget-friendly plant-based meals.

Demo 1 (11:00 AM): 15-Minute Healthy Breakfasts.

Demo 2 (1:00 PM): Plant-Based Proteins for Beginners.

Bonus: Free recipe cards and food samples for all attendees.

Mental Health & Spirit Zone: A quiet corner dedicated to mental wellness, featuring:

Stress relief techniques and massage chairs.

A prayer tent where attendees can drop off prayer requests or pray with a chaplain.

Free literature on mental health and spiritual peace (e.g., Ministry of Healing, Steps to Christ).

Family Fun Zone: To ensure parents can attend the screenings, a supervised area will be provided for children featuring "fruit art" crafts and active games.

Goal & Follow-up: Our primary goal is to serve 200 community members. As a follow-up, all attendees will be invited to a 4-week "Dinner with the Doctor" seminar series starting the following Tuesday, fostering continued relationships.
